Dr. Warner has undergraduate degrees in Biology and Philosophy from Villanova University. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from Des Moines University where he also served a one-year undergraduate Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine teaching fellowship. He completed his internship and family medicine residency at Atlantic City Medical Center, NJ. Dr. Warner is board certified in family medicine (ACOFP) and neuromusculoskeletal medicine (AOBNMM). Prior to heading non-profit Patient Advocacy Initiatives, he practiced family medicine for over 20 years in the Ebensburg/Johnstown, PA region. Most of those years, he was in private practice with his wife, Margaret Warner, D.O.
Dr. Warner is a former Level I Chair of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He is a current member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Bureau of Socioeconomic Affairs Committee and an American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) member of the Public Health & Wellness Committee. Dr. Warner serves as an AOA alternate advisor on the AMA Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC). He is also a 2016-2017 American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) Health Policy Fellow.
Through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), Dr. Warner is a certified professional coder, compliance officer and medical auditor. He is 2018 president of the Johnstown, PA AAPC Chapter and a 2018-2021 member of the AAPC National Advisory Board.
